Ajrakh Bouti- Handblock printed with mud resist and hand dyed in Natural dyes

Handprinted Bouti, a small floral motif, in repeat with wooden blocks on a lightweight cotton. The technique used here is called Ajrakh style of printing. Unlike other process of printing the fabric, where colour is applied directly to the cloth, in Ajrakh block printing, the fabric is first printed with a resist paste and then it is dyed. This process is repeated several times with different types of natural dyes to achieve the required pattern or design in deep hues of red and blue. Each colour in the motif has a separate block. The entire process includes vegetable and mineral dyes which are eco-friendly and sustainable. In this print we have used Harde, Madder, natural Indigo and Syahi ( black dye) to create the design.

Ideal to carry on your summer holidays as it is easy to wash, quick to dry and hardly any weight to carry! These come in a matching fabric envelopes - ideal for gifting!

Can be used as a stylish cover on the beach. As a dressing gown.

With the front overlap, these can fit from size 8 to size 16

All the robes have front pockets and a belt.

Midcalf Length - 116cm approximately. Sleeves - 3/4th length 

Wash instructions - Hand wash and hang dry.
